Common AC Emergencies

Common signs that indicate an emergency with your AC System include:

No Cold Air – If your AC is running but not blowing cold air, it could be due to a refrigerant leak. Leaks can be hazardous and should be addressed without delay by a knowledgeable technician.

Malfunctioning System – If your thermostat turns on, but you notice no air coming out of your system, you may be experiencing electrical issues and should call a professional to ensure no larger problems arise.

Unusual Noises – Loud, hissing sounds from your AC system could indicate compressor, motor, or fan issues. If the sounds become too strident, please turn off your system until professional assistance arrives.

Foul Smells – Bad odors could signify an electrical issue in your unit and should not be overlooked. Burning appliances are dangerous and should be taken care of by a professional as soon as possible.
