AC Repair in Jacksonville, FL

Signs You Need Professional AC Repair

It is often better to catch a cooling issue early rather than waiting for the unit to stop working entirely. Recognizing the warning signs can save you from a hot night and more expensive repairs later on.

• Warm Air Flow: If your vents are blowing room-temperature air despite the thermostat being set to cool, there may be a compressor issue or a refrigerant leak.
• Frequent Cycling: Systems that turn on and off constantly are working too hard to maintain temperatures, which can lead to premature wear and higher energy bills.
• Unusual Noises: Sounds like grinding, squealing, or clicking indicate that internal components like belts or motor bearings are failing.
• Strange Odors: Pungent or musty smells coming from your ductwork often point to burned-out wire insulation or mold growth within the system.
• High Humidity: A functional AC should naturally dehumidify your home; if your indoor air feels sticky or damp, your system isn’t performing its job correctly.
