They have to be doing something to their reviews for there to be such a disparity between their 4.9 on Google and 1.7 on Yelp. I wish I’d seen the reviews on Yelp before I paid $200 for a tech to come try and sell me an AC unit for almost 50k. Wild. Another service was able to repair our issue for $200. Lickety Split is without a doubt a scam and I don’t know how anyone who works for this company is able to sleep at night.

I just got a call from a customer service specialist from this company about a review that I posted. Interesting they apparently respond quickly to bad reviews. He apologized for the bad experience I had with Lickety Split in February. Then technicians will show up at your house and say they have to call the office.Then they'll come back and quote you a higher price than what they said on the phone.They'll keep your money if you prepaid over the phone and jerk you around to get more money out of you.WATCH OUT! UPDATE ON 5/19:Thomas from Lickety Split customer service called today. They are refunding our $391 and were able to identify the employee that was dishonest to fix from happening in the future.Would leave 0 stars if possible.On 4/3, our AC stopped blowing cold air. We tried calling a few companies and no one was able to come up for a few days. With it being over 84 degrees in the house with our dog, we contacted Lickety Split and they were able to come out the next day on 4/4 for $189. Per the rep that scheduled this trip, this charge guaranteed us a 10% any future service needed. The tech came and determined the capacitor was fried and needed to be replaced. They replaced it the same day and determined they needed to come out on another day to determine why the capacitor fried. Due to us traveling for work, we agreed to have them come out on 4/29, but they had to charge $391 on 4/7 to hold the appointment. When we asked if that charge included the 10% discount, they said it did not and they mistakenly overcharged us and our refund would appear in 7-10 business days from 4/7 (as of this review on 5/16, it has not been refunded).On 4/29, they went in the attic to inspect the system to determine why the capacitor fried. They told us the static pressure in our system was so high that it pulled the seals for the duct work apart and caused a moisture issue in our attic that created "bacteria". They claimed that we'd been breathing it in for 5 years and that if our home was a public place we would be evacuated, they even had photos to show the "bacteria" . The quote to fix this issue was $20,000. Throughout the day, they called us 7 times, pressuring us to leave a 5 star review and sign on to do this work before the end of the day. They emphasized that we were in a dire health crisis. However, they refused to give us a report to share with us until after agreed to paid the $20,000 "needed".We got a second and third opinion that determined that there was no bacteria in the attic and ductwork. The photos they showed us do not match our home so must have been taken somewhere else. The reports from both the second and third opinion companies found no issue with our static pressure and only found that the capacitor installed by Lickety Split on 4/4, is in fact, the wrong size for our unit.We have tried calling, speaking to managers, and texting the number and they have made no effort to even refund the 10% promised initially, much less take responsibility for running a $20,000 scam. If you are looking for an AC company, I would not trust their opinion on any of their inspections. After this experience, I have found many other reviews with this same scam. The third company we used cited that they've seen them us this scam many times and have multiple calls to confirm any of these accusations. We luckily only spent $580 instead of falling for an additional $20,000 but hoping this saves someone from using them at all.

IAN REPOLLENT (HVAC) Tech came by to service my home and noticed a coolant leak coming out the king valve when shut off. He raised the concern to me before serving the initial subject. I’m thankful to him because I didn’t want to commit to a project and still have issues else where. PATRICK HENRY was also an ALL-STAR in all this. He understood my financial situation and helped find the best solution to help me. He sold the king valve to me at cost. Thursday evening I called Lickety Split and within 20 mins Jacob came to our house. He worked late into the night to get our ac up and running. He was professional and diligent. I greatly appreciate him, his supervisor Stephen and the support staff. They are always are pleasant to work with. I highly recommend Lickety Split for fast, professional and reliable service.

I would not recommend Licketly Split, seems like we would’ve saved a lot of headache, time and money if we went with a more experienced HVAC company. Someone came out for an AC tuneup, we ended up spending hundreds of dollars, and our AC has not been working properly since. They were very quick to call and ask for a review, however, the supervisor has not called us back. The right hand does not seem to know what the left hand is doing, very poor communication between technicians. I asked for a detailed summary of the work that was done, I only got a few words, basically of what I told the technician what the other AC guy did. I am still waiting on a “detailed” summary. I know this is something they may not want to hear, but I am being honest, we are very displeased with whatever “maintenance” they did. Yes the company is quick, and the first AC guy was very polite, but that’s about it. Seems like they’re pushing their own agenda instead of doing what’s right.

The only think Lickety Split was lickety split at was taking service fee money! Horrible technician!!! Don't use this company! Told them it was capacitor that went out. Very rude tech and refused to leave my home! When my husband got on speaker phone, technician would not even respond. Fenwick came out right after and went right out to outside unit once we said it was capacitor and fixed AC unit within 10 minutes! Then checked inside once had inside cooling to confirm everything was fine. WASTE of $99 dollars for Lickety Split!!! Was even cheaper to use Fenwick who was very professional and NOT rude!!

My mom called lickety split they came out today &looked at our problem the two guys that came were John &Chuck&they were awesome very informative &compassion when it came to explaining things to my elderly mother.they were able help us with our problem &to let us know step by step what they were going to be doing when they come out to replace our piping they explained everything &we just appreciate them for being so kind &letting us know what &when the job was &when it would be started on &the time line which would be completed.They were extremely helpful with the process.Thanks again to John &Chuck.i will recommend lickety split to anyone from now on.when we need to call on you again we would like to have John or Chuck or both to help us again.Thanks so much

I highly recommend staying far away from these scam artists. They are an unethical and dishonest company that uses scare tactics to prey on their customers for a quick sale. I recently hired Likety Split to do routine maintenance work on my AC and they discovered growth/mold in my unit/ductwork. I am a single mother, and their rep (Kevin) told me over the phone that since they discovered mold/growth he was required to report me to the city -and that the city would evict me from my home along with my small daughter, that we’d be homeless and not be allowed to return back home until this was rectified. I was immediately rattled and shaken, and nearly in tears. Feeling super anxious I ended up hiring Likety Split to “rectify” the growth/mold issue they discovered. Their sales rep, Tyler, told me that for $17,500 I would be getting a new ac unit (claiming mine was improperly sized) along with all new ductwork. My daughter and I are both asthmatic so I made a quick decision to proceed.The day of the install, I found out that i was getting a new ac, but the moldy ductwork that according to them was so harmful, would remain the same. I even got charged for new mixing boxes that they never switched out (pictures of my old mixing boxes are attached, after Likety Solit “did the work” - I took these myself the day the new ductwork was finally replaced). I called for over a month and could not get any answers - the company offered me a $20 chic fil a gift certificate and some sweets to make it up to me. So the $17,500 (which turns out to be $40k after interest) was really for a new ac unit that now is OVERSIZED for the sq footage in my home.I had multiple companies come out and take pictures of their sloppy work, and then had to hire a new company to switch out my ductwork.Likety split did offer a free ductwork cleaning which by the way only tore some of my ductwork open and air was blowing into my attic. This has been by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with any company and would highly suggest staying away from them. They’re incredibly unprofessional and dishonest. Yelp reviews are much more accurate.

The control head on our water softener went bad and it was replaced for free under warranty. The tech, Robert, was great, he diagnosed the problem quickly and explained everything in a polite and professional manner. I give Robert 5 Stars! However, the job ended up taking a few weeks because no one would listen to Robert about what needed to be fixed. They kept trying lower cost fixes, which didn't work. Eventually the water softener was fixed and is working again, but customers and technicians should not have to jump through so many hoops.

I saw an advertisement and it was less money for the tuneup than any other place and it made sense; we do a tune up and cleaning on everything else, but never thought about doing it to the air unit!My air has been running a lot, but calling someone to check it, would have been a lot of money, specially, if you are on a budget.I called Lickety Split AC, Plumbing & Electricand made an appointment for a tuneup.The person on the phone was helpful and accommodating to my schedule, which was appreciated; The technician came, on time, called me before he came, so I would not have to stay home waiting until he showed, he started to explain to me what he was going to do, and I had no idea what he was saying, so he was so sweet and he went out of his way to explain to me things in my understanding level ha ha! He showed me how my air most of ran a lot, and my electric was paying the price.When he was finished he contacted his manager and he also explained to me that I had a problem. There was no pressure in their part, only it was perfectly explained to me the results of not taking care of the problem; I like that, I can’t stand when I am pressured.This company is super qualify to do the job and I recommend them wholeheartedly, the way people treat me is as important to me as how well they do their job, the patience of the technician explaining to me, and showing me the problem, so I could see and understand, was awesome!I am 100 percent for Lickety Split AC, Plumbing & Electric, you will not be sorry.

TERRIBLE experience from the Company that claims to "make you smile." They're only about SALES! I asked for an appointment for a tune up and a new thermostat, BUT I only wanted a basic thermostat - NO BELLS AND WHISTLES. I was advised that the techs have all the supplies they need on their trucks. The tech arrived and informed me that the thermostat is $350 - with all the bells and whistles! The tech called his "Supervisor" because I was upset about the thermostat when I specifically asked for a basic one. He arrived but was all about putting a quote together for a new unit and air duct work in my attic. I paid $340 to clean my blower asked about having the coils cleaned $2200, that's a NO for me. After the blower was cleaned and put back, the Tech was quizzing the "Supervisor" on the color connections and which gets connected first. "Supervisor" guessed right and asked if I'd like to see what I qualify for because BOTTOM LINE all he wanted was a SALE. At best "Supervisor" was probably an Apprentice or salesman I asked for an estimate because obviously I'd get quotes from other companies as well. He went back to his truck briefly until the Tech tells me he's done. I asked about cleaning my drain line because that was texted to me as part of the tune up you have to pre pay for. He claimed he already did it, I asked him to show me. We walked out back and I said the rain spout is still laying over the drain line. He said he'd "do it again" and asked "Supervisor" to look for a for a power outlet! (But if you already did it, you should know where the outlet is.) I knew he hadn't because the shop vac is loud and I was present when they were working. Afterwards the Tech asked if he could empty his shop vac in my grass, I said of course and just shook my head in disgust of him lying and the whole experience in general. "Supervisor" never even left me with that estimate either. Now to call a reputable company that can provide what I asked for and not try to take advantage of a single Mom! BEWARE and do your research!

been dealing with a sink that has been slow to drain for a couple of weeks and finally got to the point of no more draining. I called around for estimates and I was first very impressed with Lickety Split and how they answer their phone regarding smiling! Right off the bat it made you feel comfortable and valued as a customer.I signed up for their plan after calling a few other places just to make sure I was getting the best opportunity for my house. The young lady I spoke with whose name I wished I could remember was outstanding with being patient through all my questions.As scheduled, Jordan arrived to my home to assess the situation. After careful review, he explained to me what the situation was, and how he was going to fix it. I have to say that he was most professional, kind, and courteous. Each time he came to the door he always knocked and did not just walk in and was respectful of my home. Jordan even went above and beyond and even cleaned the bottom of the Cabinet where some water has spilled. I never even asked for that - this demonstrated his high level of customer centered service, which goes beyond reproach.Lickety Split has truly earned a dedicated customer with the outstanding service of Jordan and the young lady whose name I wished I could remember because she deserves recognition. This was a six-hour job, in which Ian & his partner, handled with such professionalism, precision, and care, that it truly deserves recognition. He took the time to make sure every cosmetic detail was addressed beautifully, ensuring the final result was not only functional but visually pleasing — even from the perspective of potential future buyers/tentants.Ian was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to address all of my concerns thoroughly. What impressed me most was that he went above and beyond the scope of the job, fixing and tightening areas neglected by previous technicians, to ensure everything was done to perfection. His partner, whose name I can’t recall at the moment 😩, was also excellent and deserves acknowledgment. He is new to the company, but also held a level of knowledge and professionalism, that should not be overlooked. Together, these two technicians, made a complex job look seamless. I hope management sees this and knows just how valuable Ian & his partner are to their team.Had it not been for the experience I had today with these two technicians, I would not have ever called lickety-split again. Unfortunately, per my last review, (which is below), I felt completely blindsided and borderline scammed by individuals who work in the office. This is a twofold situation and my advice would be anyone seeking out HVAC services.. “The office will not hesitate to overcharge and take your money. However, these 2 technicians, (along with Jimmy- field engineer) are top-notch, and the job at the end of the day will be completed with top of the line standards held. I would just watch what you sign, read every single line, and know that if your card is on file, they will charge you if you even so much as give them any inclination that you would like to proceed in the future. They are vague and quick to lock you in. Negotiate prices with them because they are commission based and do not give them authorization to charge anything on file unless you are actually saying those words out of your mouth verbatim”.Thanks to IAN REPOLLET & PARTNER, today was a rescue mission in which they succeeded, and I’ll add 1 Star.1/2) April 2025: 😒😒😠😡 After a great first experience, COME TO FIND OUT, there was a leak. Then a lot of terrible things happened following the discovery of the leak that was actually always present. Read below to understand what I’m speaking of. Anyhow, Kurt & Steve M. proceeded to charge my card on file (never put a card on file with them) $4200 for a job which cost about half that price quoted, and charged my card without them ever seeing the scope of the job or having an engineer come out to the house to look at the complexity of the job. The card was charged days before anyone would be at my house to even start the job & to make matters completely worse, they said the job was more expensive and complex because permits would need to be pulled, promised the permits had been pulled so everything would be done legally, & then never produced a permit. They did refund the money after a few days of persistent complaints & said they would pull the permits, but now I don’t trust them at all. Why do all these AC/HVAC companies start out so well & end up screwing us, like the others… This is wild! Snyder just lies about what’s wrong, these people actually take your money and proceed to quote you without ever seeing what the job entails. That is insane to me. Curt & Steve Cairo, shame on you! I have not very good things to say anymore about a company that I once thought was honest.

I got home from work at 5pm on Saturday evening. I realized by 5:30 that my AC wasn’t running and my house was 81 degrees. Trey was at my house by 8pm (on a Saturday!!) and had it fixed in 15 minutes. The customer service was great. The communication from the company was amazing. They gave me an “on the way call” and was there right when he said he would be. Overall very impressed with the service. I’ll definitely be calling Lickety Split in the future for all my AC needs!

Work was done on April 30 for an exorbitant price. No paperwork was submitted to the building department and the sub electricians waited for the city inspector for 3 days in a row not knowing that no notice of commencement was submitted. The technician hot wired the outside electrical panel which is a violation.After I complained , paperwork was submitted on May 9. On May 13 I coaxed the inspector to show up at 4:30 to do a final inspection but I had to hire another electrician to meet with him. I was able to close just in time to meet the title company deadline to sell the house. Thank you Likity for nothing

I replaced the cartridges and seats in my vanity faucet. I didn't have any problems when I turned the cold on but the hot sprayed water in the vanity. Turned everything off again and scheduled appointment with Lickety Split.Kyle came and checked over the connections underneath and said he didn't see any issues. Kyle had me turn on the cold and then the hot while he watched from underneath and it didn't spray this time or leak. He gave me a couple possibilities as to what could have happened but said it looked good. Have not had a problem since.I'll use them again because I like when someone gives you a straight honest answer and doesn't do things that are not needed.

Update, thank you for hearing my concern and resolving my issue, I believe moving forward you will ensure transparency!!!!I contacted this company because my main breaker was continuously tripping. I paid the $189 fee for a technician to come out on a Saturday. When the technician arrived, he performed a visual inspection but informed me that a diagnostic analysis—ranging from $400 to over $1,000 would be required to determine the actual issue. This additional diagnostic cost was never mentioned when I scheduled the appointment.To make matters worse, the technician was unable to definitively diagnose the problem, even after quoting an astronomical price for the potential repair. This visit left me feeling like this was more of an upsell opportunity than a genuine attempt to resolve the issue. Lesson learned, I'm now nearly $1,000 out of pocket for a service fee and diagnostic analysis with no repair.Please be aware: For Electrical Issues - the initial fee only gets someone to your door, any actual troubleshooting comes at a significantly higher cost.

Guy was two hours late getting here after calling saying a hour. When he got here he had no knowledge about my system . Soon another man came saying my 12 yr old unit was shot and 15000 for new one . I even asked if we could try to fix my unitWell long story short I called original company as I was preparing ways to pay for new unit. Here 238 dollars got me up and running don't trust anyone

Mr. Jacob Boyce did a terrific job cleaning my AC. He was very respectful, kind and helpful. We used to work with another company called A/C Designs for a few years but we could barely book an appointment with them since they were always full. So we called Lickety-Split and the whole time we thought A/C Designs were doing a good job with the inspections but we were wrong. Mr. Jay Boyce found out that our AC was very dirty and the walls were dirty as well so A/C Designs were doing a terrible job. Thank you Jacob and Lickety-Split for letting us know and for doing such a great job of doing what A/C Designs were not doing.

Wanted a quote for new duct work. These clowns came with three people in my house and were very unpleasant. All I wanted was a quote. The "supervisor" told me they were going to give me a quote, but seemed to be trying to try to "close" me and sell me on something more. I said thanks but I just wanted a quote. He said he was going to provide it, and then left without ever supplying a quote or contacting me. They were very, very rude and unpleasant. I would not want them anywhere near my home.
