I had a drain pipe replaced in my kitchen, which required breaking up the concrete floor. I signed a contract the included replacement of the pipe, draining my septic tank, putting in a stop for my dishwasher and replacing and leveling the concrete. First of all, the guy went out to my house in the middle of the night to drain the septic then the day they were supposed to start they didn’t show up until the afternoon and never called to let me know they were going be late. When they I received a phone call from one of the plumbers that went to start the job, and was told by him that he didn’t think they needed to bust out the concrete and he wanted to run a camera in the line and they could probably water blast the clog. He said he was gonna return the next day…. well that never happened, because I’m assuming when he went and spoke to his supervisor they took him off the Job and sent someone else out. They started the job and that evening I received a phone call from a manager named Joshua, telling me that it was gonna be more work than what they had anticipated. He said the line had a bad grease clog. I asked him why couldn’t they just blast it out with their high-pressure hot water hose? He said they can only go 2 feet with the water blasting. I said I wanted to meet with someone at the house the next day. When I got there at 11, there was nobody there I went in the house they had cut out the pipe. I stuck a long stick in the pipe and it was just sludge inside. No sign of a hard grease clogged. When the gentleman finally came and started feeding me a bunch of bull I let him know that I had already seen videos where they could blast 100 feet with that high-pressure hose and I showed him the sludge in the pipes. I told him I wasn’t gonna pay another dime that we had a contract. They ran a camera and told me exactly where the problem was and said that they were positive where the problem was! He changed his tune and said yes we will get it done. Had I been some weak and naïve person and trusted them when they said there was more work then they anticipate, which was a blatant lie. I would’ve been into them for a whole lot more than what I paid.. these people work on commission so they lie and cheat and do whatever they need to do to get your business. I wish I had read the reviews before I did business with them. They never covered up my septic tank. I had to pay someone to come out and cover it. The floor was uneven. I had to pay a contractor to come and grind the concrete down and they never came back to hook up my dishwasher when I called several times they never returned my call. This company has employees that are dishonest and do not complete their work. I now have to take them to Small Claims Court. be aware of Lickety Split. They’re dishonest they don’t honor their contracts, start a job then tell you there’s more work that isn’t necessary. All to make a bigger commission.

I just had LS come out for a quote to move my outdoor condenser unit. I called 3 other companies and LS was more than twice the cost of the other companies. But they did actually test my insulation on my compressor and warn me that moving it would be a bad idea. My unit won’t last forever I know that, and I’ll probably be calling them back when that day comes.

We purchased a $12k HVAC unit for our short term rental and it hasnt been functioning properly since it was installed. It was signed off on by the installers and is a brand new product. According to the most recent tech it has 2 faulty parts that were not working from the time of install. Despite being a brand new customer with a brand new product, I am paying massive electric bills because the unit won't shut off. The company has been slow to provide updates and no explanation for how a brand new unit is immediately defective. It is currently still waiting on them to fix.

Mr. Homer showed up promptly the day of my call, after I had to reschedule due to an AI automated text earlier in the week from lickety that allegedly scheduled an appointment (it didn’t). But, Mr. Homer arrived and was able to teach me a lot about my system as well as replaced my filter and checked and cleaned the systems functions, wiring, plumbing, and refrigerate. He was an excellent guy that was very efficient and has his job down to a science. He seemed to really care about his job and the customer. These reviews are a scam. I had them come out for a tub drain clog and was quoted $35,000. I’m not making a mistake, that was the actual quote. Pretty sure I could redo my entire house plumbing for under 10k.Update because people are reaching out to me….another company came out two days later and pulled a rag from my drain in 5 seconds. Problem solved. Said there’s no way this company even tried.

Had an appointment for a free hot water tank flush , the techs that came out explained the service and showed me that because of how the water is so bad here in Green Cove it has started to rust at the bottom. They charged me $1500 to install new toilet with new wax ring that I bought. Stupid me paid. Also to get someone to begin work I had to pay &99.00 which was refunded after I requested for back. Later I learned the job should have cost max $800. Also I had to help the plumber bring the toilet up to the second floor other wise he couldn’t do it without another worker which probably would have cost $99.00 more. Tread lightly.I had a routine HVAC maintenance check where the tech told me my system had no coolant and that there was a leak in the outdoor coils. He showed me a detector going off, but when I asked where the actual leak was, he couldn’t point to a specific spot.Then a supervisor came out and shifted the conversation to airflow issues, throwing around a lot of technical numbers. The next day, they came back with multiple proposals ranging from $5,500 to replace the coils all the way up to $32,000 for a full system replacement. The option they pushed the most was around $18,000 to redo ductwork and replace the unit—and they were pretty aggressive about making a decision on the spot.I decided to get a second opinion.The second technician took the time to actually show me exactly where the leak was, fixed it in about 15 minutes, recharged the system, and had everything running within an hour. Total cost: $950. He also quoted me about $7,000 for a full replacement when I’m ready, which is far more reasonable.My takeaway: be careful. The techs and supervisors appear to be commission-based, which creates a strong incentive to upsell bigger repairs or full replacements that may not be necessary.I don’t fault the individuals, but the business model is something homeowners should be aware of. Always get a second opinion before committing to major HVAC work.

BEWARE!!!!! I called Lickety Split for a quote to update the electrical and plumbing in my 1922 home in St. Augustine. They quickly offered financing and then quoted me a ridiculous price for work I didn't need. They used pressure sales techniques and tried to scare me about "issues" they found. Here are some specific red flags I noticed:- They refused to give me a printed copy of the quote, even after I asked several times.- They tried to pressure me to sign the contract immediately; they already had workers on site to "get started right away."- They encouraged me to call my wife at work to get her immediate approval, rather than giving us time to discuss the proposal.- The price they quoted was nearly ten times higher than the estimates from reputable firms for the actual work I needed.GET OTHER OPINIONS. I would bet half the reviews on Google are bought or fake. They are pushy and overpriced. I would stay away!

Let me just cut to the chase. I had this company come out for a minor pumbing fix, and a promotional AC tuneup/ checkup. In both cases the results were unsatisfactory. Im convinced this is a sales/ high pressure sales company masquerading as an AC/ Plumbing company. The plumbing visit was unable to fix the minor problem, but wanted to test my water quality and sell me a softener/ RO system in conjunction with the small repair. This was after missing the first 2 time slots I was given for an appointment. The AC tuneup was thorough and impressive actually, but ended with a shady attempt to get me to immediately commit to repair something offering a payment structure I didn't ask for, and strong pressure to commit to the repair right there and then. I am also very suspicious of how this company has such high reviews with being 0-2 for a good experience so far. Customer beware.

EDITED TO ADD: WOULD NOT RECOMMENDWhile they got me financing, my $13k unit turned into over 35k because the "financing" is with 2 leasing companies who want over $800 amonth between them! When I called Lickety Spilt, basically they said im on my own.My ac went out on Friday. I called Florida Heat and air who DID NOT accurately diagnose the issue, they overfilled my system and disconnected the ground wire. Couldn't order the part until Monday. I called Lickety Split who can same day, properly diagnosed all the issues and worked with my recovering credit to get me financing. Oscar and Wayne came out to assist and Kevin helped make it happen. I will be a customer for life!!! 😊

Called late last week and made an appt for their $49 special for AC inspection and tune up. Keenan arrived promptly, was personable and did a thorough inspection. He pretty quickly found an issue with the pressure on the air handler and spent a considerable amount of time narrowing down this problem, which turned out to be the 52 yo aforementioned duct work. After much discussion, research, and questions asked I decided to move forward with them to have new duct work installed. They made the financing part of the job quick, easy, and relatively painless, given the price. Not that they were unfair in the price just that I had no idea things were as bad as they were with the current ducting. They will be here tomorrow to do the installation and I’ll provide an update once that is complete and I can hopefully see the results translate to lower cooling/heating bills. Thanks to all involved so far from Lickety Split.

Robert Lynch was sent over after a couple of calls to customer service regarding a septic problem (under warranty)... He diagnosed the problem immediately, opened the tank, fixed the problem (a misplaced float valve), ziptied everything in place, closed the tank, replaced dirt/grass and took away all the garbage from the project... Had a big problem with a leak in my plumbing/shower and Robert came and got everything fixed up. Not only he was extremely knowledgeable, but the thing that stuck out the most was his professionalism and his courtesy. Made us feel comfortable that no matter what the issue was that he was going to fix it. Takes pride in his work and it shows. Will definitely call again. Give Robert a raise, promotion, those types of employees are hard to come by.
