First I was alerted by text that Matt was on his way. He arrived less than 20 minutes later. He listened while I explained the problem. Then he researched and analyzed the problem. I had three separate experiences with Lickety Split. All were terrible. I will spare you the details. In summary, crazy excuses, super "sales oriented" (find a "problem" to generate more work) and just plain not showing up. Needless to say, I will look elsewhere. Very confused how they could have such good Google Reviews. Buyer beware.

Lickety Split came in to do a free service on my AC. The free service wound up costing me about 25k. Don’t jump conclusion because it wasn’t them trying to sell me something. I had some serious issues with the size of my AC vs the size of my ductwork and mold. Ductwork was way undersized and needed replacing in its entirety. In addition the AC was only 3-5 years old and because it was only able to put out about a quarter of the amount of air it’s supposed to, it made the ac work extremely hard and in those 3 years weve had that system, weve had to have it repaired 3 times at several more thousands of dollars. We never got the warranty filed by the company that installed it so we did NOT have any warranty so any repairs were out of pocket. Well Jacob at Lickety Split told me what it would cost and offered a large discount on a new system that would have a 10 year warranty on it parts and labor. Plus I’ve got lung disease and because of that he had his men come the very next day and start replacing the AC unit inside and out and all the ductwork. THE NEXT DAY!!! The previous AC was saturated with micro-organisms and since I’ve got lung disease, time was really of the essence because chances are that’s where I got the disease from. I’ve got Mycobacterium (NTM). I was astounded that he would drop everything and get on my job so quickly. While yes it did cost me a lot of money, it won’t matter if I’m not around to use it. Along with grandchildren and the rest of my family. He quite possibly single handedly making my health better as well as keeping the rest of my family from getting sick too. In addition to the health concerns, we had electric bills as high as $900. With the new system we can pay for it with payments and save about 500-$600 per month. Will pay for itself in no time. I rarely take my time with complaints,but this company is outrageous!!!!!! The manager,Hunter was rude,high pressure and CONDESCENDING!!! Quote of $5000! and told him I need 24 hrs.to figure it out, it's alot of money...Hunter then said,I couldn't afford it!!! He said "i wouldn't stay there,get a hotel room....then tech,Brandon, said he would call the VP,apologized for his manager, said maybe more of a discount for my trouble...this is 48 hrs.later and nothing...so buyers beware!!!!!!!!!

2/19/25 Hvac maintenance done today. Everything still going great !Update 218/25 system still running great, they come out to do regular maintenance and all the service providers are always awesome. Matthew came out today to flush the water heater an was great.The guys came out and replaced the new a/c unit that failed ( a manufacturing issue) every person I've spoken with, mainly brit,has been awesome. They are quick to help in many ways to make sure you are comfortable in your home while doing the nessassary work.Edit 9/17/24 Alex Rodges came out to do the routine maintenance, was very kind,knowledgeable and went thrive everything to make sure the unit was still running properly 👌12/4/25 Jacob came by to do a check up on the system 5 stars for my boy. He went through everything and explained what he was doing.Always great service !

Outstanding service. We got an appointment the same day. Our technician Issac showed up and was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Had a sewer stoppage that happened on a holiday weekend. Called Lickety Split , and when I asked what they would charge to clear a sewer stoppage, they responded $189. I had to prepay the charge to book an appointment which I was told between 8am and 11am the next morning. Since this is a short term rental, I communicated this to my guests, who were in town for a 5 night stay. They were very patient, and were ok with this. Lickety Split informed me that I would get a phone call approx 30 min before the tech would arrive to ensure I could be on scene as well. I waited until after 11am the next day, and called to see what the ETA would be. I was informed they had dispatched the tech, and he would call 30 min before arrival. At 1:15 pm , I called again, spoke with the same operator, who informed me he would put me on hold and call the dispatch center to see where the tech was. After a 5 min hold I was told he would have to call me back as soon as he got info on tech. 30 min later, I got a call to say they had to dispatch another tech, because my tech's vehicle had "broken down". At pm , the motion sensor on my ring camera at the rental informed me the tech was onsite, with no phone call. I quickly rushed over, explained the situation. (I have been a contractor for 26 years, and cleared many drains, I did not have a snake long enough to reach this) I was then informed I would have to pay an additional $337 to have this service done, by another "superintendent" that had arrived. I immediately felt as if this was predatory and extortionist. They told me "its a weekend, and emergency rates apply". When I booked the appointment, the operator knew the day , knew it was a holiday weekend, and clearly obscured the information , because if I knew this would be a $525 service call, I would have politely declined and gone with the $150 one time charge for the company that was willing to come out at 11am that day. That is about industry average for a drain stoppage that is normal, without major issue, or roots, etc. None of which was the case in this situation. When I told the tech that I would not be willing to pay that crazy rate, and to pack up and I would find someone else, he immediately changed his tune and stated he could do the job for an additional $202. Total price now $391. Still crazy, but I wanted to get it done, so I agreed. about an hour in , he finally cleared the stoppage, but not before saying he thought it was roots , or a collapsed pipe, etc. It was , again, none of the above, as he did not have a cutter on his snake, which I pointed out. once it was cleared, out of curiosity, he decided to put the camera in , and low and behold, a clear all PVC pipe the entire 45 + feet. Yes, it was simply a stoppage. I feel like this company is predatory, and charges rates that even a non savvy consumer would feel as if they were violated. Its a shame that a big company has to resort to bait and switch, and pray on people that are just trying to get a simple job done. I will not be calling this company back. I have done business with a lot of companies in my 26 years in business, and never have I dealt with anything so deceptive as this..

I don't get this company. Great reviews, quick response, long-standing business, licensed, insured, etc. Which is why it was a total shock to me that none of the work they did initially was permitted, despite their assurance that they'd pulled the permits for the job. In hindsight I got really lucky that my whole house re-pipe was as undeniably bad as it was (pipes exposed and laying on the ground, new fittings crammed next to the copper fittings that were left in, sagging unsecured pipes in my attic, backwards sink fixture, and mismatched bathroom fixtures, $1200 in damages to my ductwork that included crushed lines and cut support straps -- I'm sure I'm missing something). It gave me a lot of legal leverage to have the contract terms rewritten.Did they eventually complete the job and pass inspection? Yes. It took 2 shots to fix all of the issues, but god help me, I have never worked with a company that was as allergic to permitting as Lickety Split. Even though the rewritten contract terms explicitly spelled out that they weren't to start fixing the major issues until they had secured all permits and paid all the fees, sure enough the workers showed up without a permit, and it wasn't until we threatened to turn them back that management magically secured the permit.And it happened twice! Not only was the re-pipe unpermitted, but when they finally applied for one they left off the water heater, which again took 5 days of back and forth before I told them flat out that I wasn't scheduling the rest of the inspections until it was taken care of. Suddenly, 5 days of promises were taken care of in the span of an hour.I can't recommend Lickety Split to anyone. The only reason the company earned 2 stars with me is the fact that the THIRD round of workers sent to my house were really on it and addressed every issue and turned out a great job. Good guys, and I'm thankful for the attention to detail they put in to fix the first guy's mess.My problem is with the way the company is managed. Not once did an actual plumbing manager come down to take control of the project, despite our daily calls concerned about the time and quality of the work. Instead they sent down the Customer Complaints manager who just stood around sweating and asked me when I'd be ready to sign.In the end, they did convince me to give them another shot, and they eventually paid for the damages to my ducts and turned in a job I would have been happy with the first time around. But OH MY GOD did I have to take the reins and drag them through hell to get the permits and compensation for damages done. In the end the 1.5 day job took 9 days total stretched out over a month, not counting days needed for the inspections.I really hope this was as much a learning experience for them as it was for me. I know every company has workers that oversell their skill level and turn in a bad job from time to time. What I experienced was a problem much bigger that left me feeling on several occasions like I'd been scammed by a fake company. It didn't add up then and doesn't add up now.I'll be happy to never have to think about this experience again. Do not recommend.

No stars was not an option so I had to give them one star . It seems that every time I go to home depot.A lickety split truck is parked in the loading dock, blocking everybody.Then the employee comes out with just a bag in his hand. How rude and inconsiderate are all these employees to other people who want to get in and load things. I have talked to management and they seem to do nothing with their employees. Would never use the company based on the actions of their employees.

I took advantage of a special deal with a next-day turnaround. The plumber, John, was nice and courteous and clearly knowledgeable. Although he could not fix the problem, it's hardly his fault, as he was able to identify a sewer stack collapse which handed it over to my HOA. He definitely seemed knowledgeable and were it not for the fact that that was the problem he would've fixed it quickly. He talked about prior experience and knew about the legality of it being the HOA's responsibility.

I had the best experience with this crewCheyenne and Jesus and Steve.I met them while they were at the neighbors and ask if they could check my filters one day. Cheyenne and Jesus, along with Steve came in and checked my unit.They came back and did a thorough inspection and found so many things that went unnoticed during the inspection before buying my house. I was told and showed pictures of everything that was wrong. This team went beyond and above to make sure everything was checked out.I asked Cheyenne if I was your grandmother what would you recommend, cleaning the ductwork or replacing it. Very shady. Took their year membership for maintenance of our 2 yr HVAC. On one occasion they charged us $400 to change the capacitor. On the last maintenance they suggested few changes which we did not agree to. After the last maintenance our AC stopped working. They came back and said our compressor was kaput and offered to replace it for a discount (around $3500). When we said we will take a second opinion they were upset. In any case we found out that during their last maintenance they had inadvertently or purposely misconnected the capacitor so that the AC would not start thus making us believe that the compressor was damaged. I don’t know how such businesses are allowed to function. I will seriously advice staying away from them.

Called late last week and made an appt for their $49 special for AC inspection and tune up. Keenan arrived promptly, was personable and did a thorough inspection. He pretty quickly found an issue with the pressure on the air handler and spent a considerable amount of time narrowing down this problem, which turned out to be the 52 yo aforementioned duct work. After much discussion, research, and questions asked I decided to move forward with them to have new duct work installed. They made the financing part of the job quick, easy, and relatively painless, given the price. Not that they were unfair in the price just that I had no idea things were as bad as they were with the current ducting. They will be here tomorrow to do the installation and I’ll provide an update once that is complete and I can hopefully see the results translate to lower cooling/heating bills. Thanks to all involved so far from Lickety Split.

They came out for a routine, free inspection that ended with them wanting to charge us 16,500 for a service. The tech stayed the entire day and had tablet issues. He would go out to his truck and sit there for 30 minutes at a time due to this. This free inspection led to them being very concerned for "our safety" and us needing to pay the $1000 to do a QCA on our house. They said they found scorching on our panel. The manager on the phone and tech kept advising they were scared to let us sleep in our house that night due to it possibly catching on fire. We got nervous due to the manager's pushy nature. We refused service and had three other electricians come out. All advised panel was safe and no need to replace it. We called Lickety Split to address this and ask for out money back as three other companies advised everything was fine. We spoke to a VP of electrical operations, who advised all of these companies were wrong/not competent, said we were treating him like a criminal, and pushed back that our house was incredibly unsafe to be in. When speaking with him, he pointed out scorching on our panel that did not match the scorching the tech in person pointed out. He advised he was not sure why that was, but he knew our panel was bad. We asked could he be wrong since the tech in person never noticed the scorching in person until the manager on the phone saw a picture and advised him it was scorched. It seemed odd that the person on site could not see it until told it was there, but a manager could see it in a photo. Overall, we feel we were scammed out of over $1000 and they pushed to get 16,500 from us by fearmongering and telling us it was unsafe to sleep in our house (that passed an inspection 2 years earlier). We would recommend another company that you can trust.

Jacob and John were absolutely awesome. Jacob went ABCD (Above the call of duty). He made me feel like I was the only customer that he had ever had. The work was professionally done with explanations given At every step. The work was also Done at a Very fair price. We had been experiencing constant clogs and used numerous companies to try to remedy the problem. After the last company who advised they will charge almost $2,000 for hydro jetting the pipes we decided to try Lickety Split. Their prices were very reasonable and within our budget. They sent out their master plumber, Anthony who was very polite, professional, easy to talk to, and highly knowledgeable of the situation. Had a terrible experience with Lickety split last year. They redid all the duct work (leaving trash everywhere in the attic) and broke a water line that caused a bunch of water damage.They also replaced the coil in the indoor unit but did it wrong according to the super visor who came out after the AC unit stopped working again and had to replace it again. Had to have them come out 3 times before they realized what the issue was…Also the sales guy Chis Chesla told us the initial work with the duct work/coil would only take a day and it ended up taking a whole week which was hugely inconvenient and they couldn’t even do the work right.Overpaid for sloppy work and terrible communication. Would not recommend.

Cameron and Alex came out for a routine inspection and assessment of my AC system. This was my first interaction with LicketySplit as a customer. Both were extremely professional and ran through the standard set of questions. They got to work and provided me with updates and recommendations along the way. Super pleased with the level of care, knowledge and customer service from them. Thoroughly explained everything and made recommendations that will likely elect to do rather soon. I called when no one showed and was told that the appt. needed to be coordinated on the phone, and that the pump-out would be $1,200! The $79 Main Sewer Line Cleaning Special is a complete scam — don’t fall for it. The fine print says jetting not included, yet jetting is the only method this company actually uses. That means the $79 “special” is essentially useless.I had a very simple job — about six feet of drainpipe that needed to be cleared. Instead of honoring the advertised deal or offering a standard snake service, they tried to charge four times the normal fairly priced snaking fee for their “special jetting tech.” For most basic clogs, snaking is perfectly fine, so the upcharge made no sense.To make things worse, the technician didn’t even have a phone and had to borrow my tenant’s just to communicate.This company is now officially on my Do Not Call list. I won’t be using any of their services in the future for any of my properties. Customers beware.

Today, I woke up and turned on my hot water tank, but noticed smoke coming from the panel. I searched for plumbing services in Jacksonville and found Lickety Split AC, Plumbing, and Electric. I called and scheduled an appointment for Wednesday, November 12th. However, I later received a call from Lickety Split asking if I could move my appointment up to this afternoon.Chris, the sales technician, was very professional and knowledgeable about the benefits and services offered by the company. Devin and Gery then arrived at my home to install my new water heater. They were professional, polite, respectful, and considerate. The installation was quick, and they cleaned their work area afterward. Robert Lynch was sent over after a couple of calls to customer service regarding a septic problem (under warranty)... He diagnosed the problem immediately, opened the tank, fixed the problem (a misplaced float valve), ziptied everything in place, closed the tank, replaced dirt/grass and took away all the garbage from the project... Condenser unit checked and HV/AC unit.as well and all looked in fine order. Recommended an ultraviolet light be installed in the enclosure around the HV/AC unit to reduce moisture and was informed we would think about it. All around efficient work, was clean. The men that comes into your home, they are very respectful. Even talking on the phone. They are very prompt !! They don’t leave a whole bunch of mess for you to have to clean up. Update: there was no call back, the project took a nose dive I'm trying to call the owner. He will not call me back. 8 mos i have been trying to reach out. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.....OVERCHARGE YOU DOUBLEAngela was such a big help, I was so angryToday because our electric got cut off and they would not turn it back on because our inspection failed. Plus our plumbing is not finished yet The shower is leaking. Angela calmed me down and got everybody scheduled to come out and finish the work. She is also going to set up where I can talk to the owner Because this has been somewhat of a little bit of a nightmare. Angela is on top of it and has promised to call me back with updates. That's all I have ever asked for. I appreciate so much I got her today.

Wayne and Jacob were ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! They took the time and were SO thorough with their assessment of our HVAC unit- actually going up into the attic and filming the ductwork- and then explained everything in detail to us. They were knowledgeable and very kind. They spent a ton of time with us answering our many questions. I will most definitely be using them again in the future. *SIX OUT OF FIVE STARS!!!* ✨

The work was quality in some aspects and questionable in other areas. They definitely charge a lot for their services. Then after the appointment if the workmanship needs a follow up, well it's difficult to get a call back.Should you need regular maintenance or a cleaning I would recommend another vendor.

Tech came out to diagnose (paid for inspection prior to appointment and received emailed receipt), was polite and gave verbal quote. Let us know his supervisor would send written quote/contract via email before we could hire for service. I followed up with call to main number on the next day and was told to wait until Monday. Monday morning I follow up with technician and he said I should receive email shortly. Monday late afternoon I call into the office again since no email came through, lady apologized and said she will have it expedited immediately. Tuesday morning, still no email and no response from tech upon follow up. Customers shouldn't have to chase a company for days to get a written quote or contract to have work completed. Still haven't received written quote via email or follow up from company. Only giving 2 stars for the polite tech during inspection.

I had an issue with the plumber not showing up for a scheduled appointment and cancelled the service and requested a refund. Their accounting department reached out to me and apologized for the issue and advised they will be issuing the refund immediately. I appreciate them reaching out to me and may consider them in the future.

They arrived Lickety Split! Within mins I had this info in pic. Less than 45 min allOf that was fixed 🤨 along with estimate for 14k on a 900 sq ft house. When I said that’s high he came back with what was I looking to spend. Whole thing seems scammy.

I had a county inspection for some ductwork that needed to be replaced at my property, in addition to a semi-annual inspection conducted on the property. This was completed on July 21. I was notified that day that some parts of my system needed replacement. Additionally, my home failed the county inspection. I paid $13,000 for the ductwork back in January; there is no reason that, with the amount of money spent, my home should fail the inspection.Additionally, I was informed by the technician that two parts need to be replaced on my condenser. It is now Saturday, July 26, and I have yet to receive any information about the failed county inspection or the cost of replacing the parts. I spoke with a manager on Thursday, who stated that they would look into the issue and get back to me. I have heard nothing since then. Repeated calls have left me with no answers. I am incredibly frustrated because not replacing these two parts could lead to other issues with my unit, which could have been avoided. Furthermore, with the amount of money paid for the ductwork replacement and the failed county inspection, I significantly question the quality of work that was completed.I'm giving this two stars only because of Misty. She has answered multiple calls from me and has been incredibly helpful in her limited capacity as a liaison between me and her managers. She is working diligently to get me answers, but the answers I am seeking are outside of her control.I caution anyone from having any major work completed by this company if you value transparent communications and remaining informed about your property.***Update as of 8/11/25***Lickety Split was scheduled to complete the ducting and condenser repairs on 8/4. My tenant had a five-hour window planned for the technicians to correct the deficiencies. Lickety Split did not show up during the agreed-upon window. I didn't receive any notification from my tenant or the company that nobody would show up. Apparently, they were "too busy". This is utterly unacceptable that nobody showed up, or at least had the courtesy to contact my tenant or me.The appointment was rescheduled for today, 8/11. My tenant had a window scheduled from 0800-1300. Again, nobody showed up. Nobody contacted my tenant or me to let us know nobody would show up. Twice, in as many weeks, Lickety Split has not shown up at my property and has had zero communication with either of us. I am still waiting on the "manager" to contact me back, as I have called multiple times today, trying to understand the lackluster communication and failure to meet the agreed-upon windows to conduct the repairs.

We had to pay the holiday price to get them to come, which the dispatcher did try to ask if we could wait, but with 2 households on the same water line, we couldn't afford for the water to go out. The tech came within the 5 hour window and was very polite. He was very thorough and worked hard to ensure our situation was fixed, ensuring the roots couldn't cause a leak in the future. He waited to make sure we were totally satisfied and that the leak was fixed. Thanks Shawn and Lickety Split!

I had my air conditioner system tune up and inspected by Brandon on 7/2/25. I was told it was a free inspection due to having previous work done this year! He was very thorough, empathetic and helpful. I will need more work done and it will be expensive, but I wasn’t pressured to make that decision on the spot .
